A Thousand Dreams to Live !!!

I have a thousand dreams to live
I have a thousand wishes for you to give
I do not know if I will live long to see them happen
But I hope I see a few realize while I am alive

I dream of a world equal and just
I wish for a world where none dies, unless must
Where men don’t kill for land and gold
Where lives and souls are not sold

I wish for a great nation which took me in her arms
I dream that eternal harvest graces its farms
Where the golden bird will sing again one day
Where the mountains are high and rivers have a charm

I wish for a better future for the generations to come
I dream to avoid a day when the air is stale and the mind is numb
So that when they live the days tomorrow
I will still feel contended and not that of glum

I do not know if god will nod his will to give
I do not know if I will see them happen as I live
I just wish a thousand wishes everyday
I just have a thousand dreams that I live

Hey everyone...this poem is inspired by the movie called "Hazaaron Khwahishen Aisi"...In my own small way I would like to salute all those men who laid down their lives across times to make our nation what it is today.
