When I was young I wanted to be a spy
The man with the golden gun, the man tackling the golden eye
I wanted to go all around the world on her majesty’s service
Not giving any dreaded adventure a miss
Life would have been tough but excited then
Living on the edge, fighting dangerous men
MI6, CIA, FBI, KGB, RAW or MOSSAD
Being a spy is a timeless fashion and not a fad
Driving fast cars and drinking vodka martinis
Meeting beautiful damsels roaming around in minis
Testing gadgets around and killing bad guys
Life would have pretty excited as her majesty’s spy
But I realize that the dream is never going to come true
Being a spy isn’t easy and blessed are the lucky few
But even on the day I breathe my last and die
I would still wish to live the life of a spy
